Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about placenta encapsulation in Perth.
When should placenta encapsulation begin?
Ideally within the first 48 hours after birth. The process begins within 12–48 hours and I am often available to start within the first 24 hours.
How should I store my placenta after birth?
Place it in an enclosed container and refrigerate immediately (up to 48 hours). If preparation won't begin in that window, freeze it. Tell your birth team you plan to encapsulate.
Will the hospital release my placenta?
Most hospitals will, but some hold it for 24 hours. Check your hospital's policy ahead of time and make your wishes clear in your birth plan.
What encapsulation method do you use?
I prepare every placenta using the Traditional Chinese Method (TCM) — gently steamed with ginger and myrrh, then dehydrated and encapsulated. $300. See full details.
How are capsules delivered?
Vegetarian capsules in a BPA-free amber sealed jar with desiccant pack. Personally delivered or express posted as soon as possible.
Is placenta encapsulation safe?
I am Perth's most experienced specialist with safety and hygiene as my top priority. I trained with Placenta Benefits International and follow strict preparation protocols.
