"Asking your partner to be your sole guide during labour is like asking them to lead the way on a climb of Mt Everest. They may be smart & trustworthy. You may love them, but in the Himalayas, you'd both be a lot better off with a Sherpa"

How do you Doula?

I get asked all the time “What is a Doula? What exactly do they do?"

Doula is greek for “mothering the mother”. And that is exactly what I do. I am here to educate, empower, guide and support you through the journey that is pregnancy and birth.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You contact me, we meet up. Our first catch up is to get to know each other and is obligation free. We’ll meet for a chai somewhere and I’ll learn about you, your family and your wishes surrounding your birth experience. It is imperative you feel comfortable with your doula.

If you would like to go ahead and book me in, let me know as soon as possible so we can get started on our journey together.

MY DOULA SERVICE INCLUDES

How do you doula?: About

Give yourself and your partner the best birth experience you deserve and hire Tara. As a first time parent, the best thing I’ve ever done is to have doula support during pregnancy and birth. After the first one on one session, my partner was feeling far more informed, empowered and included in the next chapter of our lives. He was even telling his mates about delayed cord clamping!
You’ll learn things that aren’t transparent or talked about, you’ll be listened to and counselled and guided. Tara has an amazing ability to read people and situations. And when you’re in the thick of it, this woman will know exactly what to do or say for you both.
